Workplace Presentations
Education about all aspects of diabetes is important for people with diabetes wishing to minimize their risk of serious complications as well as for those hoping to lessen their chances of developing the disease.
The Canadian Diabetes Association offers free educational presentations to groups through their workplace, church, service club, weight loss centre, etc. Presentation topics and length can be tailored to suit the specific needs of each group. Presentation packages have been designed by a national committee of health professionals and all facts are current and referenced. Staff or public education volunteers are available during working hours or evenings.
Topics include: diabetes facts, diabetes prevention, diabetes management, research, and information about the Canadian Diabetes Association. To schedule a presentation or become a Canadian Diabetes Association public education volunteer call 759-1233.
