Algoma Diabetes Education and Care Program (ADEC)

"The 'Guiding Light To Diabetes Services in Algoma' directory is very impressive." - Prime Minister Paul Martin (2004)

"One of the most promising ways of making our health system safer, more efficient and less expensive is the electronic patient record..." "An excellent example of better care resulting from this change is the Diabetes Program in Sault Ste. Marie. Using the shared record, a team consisting of a family doctor, nurse, nutritionist and nurse educator provide much-enhanced diabetes care." - Michael Decter, Chair of the Health Council of Canada (2005)
